Opening weekend of Twilight Zone: Live! presents…
…The Lonely, directed by Dean Merrmell, who directed the All Worlds Fair “documentary” (you remember those pictures of me in the bird hat?) and many, many other things that I wasn’t involved with. He has made some wonderful adaptations to the episodes that have really spoken to me, particularly as a woman, a feminist, and artificial lifeform empathizer. Oh, I play the robot.
The other episode, Mirror Image, is brought to you by the same people who did Dirty Dancing: Live! Lauren Davidson (perhaps you remember her as Penny and Vivian Pressman) will be directing this one. I’ve heard it’s very funny and super crude, and I’m just assuming it’s also hella creepy because it’s about doppelgangers in a mirror world and I’ve seen Star Trek, so I know what that means.
Also, if you enjoy looking at my cute boyfriend (I know I do!), you’ll especially like this weekend because he gets to be in both episodes.
Found this morning on Capp St. Is the Mission always lined with Dirty Dancing-inspired art and I just never noticed before?
Opening weekend was great. People laughed, sang along, danced. And not just cast members. Buy your tickets now and insure your seat before the show is gone forever. Darkroomsf.com/#dirtydancing
Did you know the Dark Room Theater will be hosting Dirty Dancing Live! this May? And did you know that it costs only $20 at the door or $15 if you buy your tickets online via http://darkroomsf.com/#dirtydancing? Did you know that we open tomorrow night? Did you know that I play Baby? And Adam Vogel, breakout star of Ghostbusters Live!, will be playing that douchy Neil Kellerman and we get to interact Off Stage Right even more? And some of them funny dames from Front Row are producing/directing/acting in it? Did you?!?!?!?!?!
You love Ghostbusters. Everyone loves Ghostbusters.
COME SEE IT LIVE ON STAGE AT THE DARK ROOM THEATER, APRIL 11-13 AT 8pm!! IT’S GOING TO BE SOOOOO GOOOOOOD.
I, Becky Hirschfeld, will be portraying Dana Barrett/Zuul and “Assistant Director.” My hand has a cameo in this video. So do my pajamas.
Pretty.
Someone stole my boyfriend’s bike. Please help him get it back. He uses it all the time. This is what he says:
“My Bianchi Volpe was stolen from my locked garage last night. It looks like the attached picture, but my bike has red handlebar tape. In the unlikely event that you spot it … call 911. 49cm frame, serial # H6C18272.”
I can see my house from here! I mean, I could, theoretically, if I could see unobscured things from like super far away.
Hey, uh, do you guys like kid-friendly Christmas plays featuring characters wearing handmade dresses (pink dress by yours truly)? Then come see Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown! playing at the Dark Room Theater at 8pm for the next two weekends.
Note: Lucy’s eyes are luminous on stage, but not in the same way as in this photo.
Go see this show, everybody!! I did. It’s amazing and super spooky and will give you goosebumps, if you’re susceptible to such things. Plus, some of the tickets for next week’s performances are half off, which is very nice

PS. Because I’m bad at Tumbling, apparently, here’s another jpg of the flyer that isn’t so stretchy:

I’M ON A SIGN! :D
